OFFICE VISITS

Our practice is committed to providing you and your family with safe, gentle, and high-quality dental care. We understand that your child may feel anxious about visiting the dentist. We are sensitive to children’s needs, and it is our goal to make your child feel comfortable visiting our practice while we provide the best possible care.

Your first visit is all about your child: his or her comfort, happiness, and health

During your child’s first visit, we will begin by reviewing your child’s dental and medical histories. Next, one of our hygienists will demonstrate proper brushing and flossing technique to your child one on one. They will then clean and polish your little one’s teeth. Depending on your child’s age and caries risk we may take X-rays of his or her teeth. This will allow us to evaluate the developing teeth as well as assess the areas between the teeth for cavities. Lastly, Dr. Bart or Dr. Matt will meet with you and your child to inspect for cavities, assess the alignment of your child’s teeth, and then discuss the X-rays, treatment needs, treatment plan, and answer any questions you may have.

What to bring to your child’s first appointment:

Our patient information forms are available at our Patient Login Portal. Please complete these forms prior to your child’s visit if at all possible. Please also bring your insurance card.

Regular checkups are an important part of maintaining a healthy smile! The American Dental Association recommends that children visit the dentist every six months for regular checkups and routine teeth cleanings to keep their teeth and gums healthy.

We understand your family has a busy schedule, so when you’re preparing for a dental visit, please remember an appointment can last between 15 minutes to 1 hour depending on your child’s needs.

FINANCIAL INFORMATION

The cost of treatment may vary, depending on your child’s individual needs and treatment plan. We will discuss the cost of treatment and each of the available payment plan options with you before your child begins treatment, so you can make the best choice for your child and your family.
